← Fuel Excise Extensions coming to an end

As communicated in Budget 2024 in October of last year, the Government confirmed an extension to the petrol & diesel excise reliefs which were due to expire on October 31st 2023.

However, we wanted to inform all of our customers that this extension is now coming to an end as planned on April 1st 2024, with a further reinstatement planned on August 1st.

The outstanding amounts of 8 cents on Petrol, 6 cents on Diesel and 3.4 cents on Marked Gas Oil will be restored in two equal instalments on these dates in 2024.

On April 1st the increases per litre will be as follows:

  • 4 cents added to Petrol
  • 3 cents added to Diesel
  • 1.7 cents added Marked Gas Oil
